The Genie KEP-1 is used mainly on older garage door operators that cannot use the newer wireless keyless entry systems. You can have the safety and security of a keyless entry system no matter what age your opener is. Choose your own passcode to enter your garage without the need of a key or a remote transmitter. For your safety this unit is equipped with a "Panic Feature" that will remember a code for 30 seconds and activate at the touch of ANY button in case the unit is activated and someone/something gets in the path of the door. Programming your keypad is simple and quick, complete directions for installation are included.

REPROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS-

Unplug the transformer for 2 minutes - this will reset the board and erase old code

Place the set/run switch to SET(found inside main interface box)

Choose your pin # (1-8 letters or numbers) Enter pin #. Never use the * as part of your pin.

Press * button once to lock-in your pin #

Move the set/run switch to RUN - Programming is now complete |
